Balance
Autumn is the season that takes us from summer to winter. It teases us with a little bit of winter, but mainly summer that eventually turns into a lot of winter and a little bit of summer. Along with many of the changes that happen during this transition period, our skin seems to suffer as it adjusts to the change in weather. Autumn winds dry out skin, especially the face which is so exposed to the elements. No matter what amount of moisturiser is applied to the face, by mid afternoon, it feels dry and in need of nourishment. Counteracting with too much moisturiser makes for unstable skin that can lead to breakouts.
Balance Elixir by Theseeke contains Jojoba, argan and lavender; a blend of precious oils whose purpose is to purify and balance your skin. Jojoba oil is rich in vitamin E & has a similar chemical composition to the skin’s sebum, therefore is suitable to most skin types. Argan oil is also a rich source of vitamin E, which is required for healthy skin, hair and eyes and has powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory properties. Argan oil is a source of essential fatty acids that moisturises and hydrates the skin, promoting wound healing. Lavender essential oil also promotes healing and is calming. Known for its antiseptic, anti-microbial and analgesic properties, lavender has also been noted for its ability to accelerate wound healing . Balance elixir is suitable for all skin types, especially skin that is inclined to breakouts. The blue hue of the oil is due to Azulene, which is a compound found in blue tansy & blue yarrow which turns vibrant blue when steam distilled. Azulene has exceptional antibacterial qualities and speeds up the healing process, reducing redness for inflamed skin.
Balance elixir can be used by itself or added to your moisturiser after cleansing & toning. Place 2-3 drops warmed on fingertips and press gently over face, neck & chest. Use a small amount in the ends of your hair to calm the dryness. A multi purpose oil, to nourish, promote healing and balance your skin all year round, but especially during these dry Autumn months.
