I’ll never forget the first time I met Courtney—radiating warmth with her bright smile and open heart. She exudes kindness, honesty, and loyalty—a true friend anyone would be lucky to have. There was an instant connection, and she reminded me of a dear friend back home in Norway. They have exactly the same kind of humour and it felt like we had known each other for years from the moment we met.

Courtney is truly easy to love. If you follow her on Instagram, you’ll see that she’s one of the most authentic creators out there, bringing everything to life in a real and empowering way. She’s an amazing cook and often shares her delicious recipes with her followers. She is also incredibly funny - reading her captions would make anyone have a laugh as her content is so relatable to so many.

What stands out most about Courtney is her refreshing perspective on life—she knows how to savor the simple joys and make the most of every moment. Courtney grew up in Canada and a few years ago, we had the chance to interview Courtney and asked her what brought her to Australia and what her experience living here has been like so far. Her answer was simple yet powerful: she loves the early morning culture—getting outside for a coffee, which helped her blend her vacation dreams with her everyday routine.

As UNIKSPACE recently celebrated six years since our launch in 2018, Courtney created a special video for us, showcasing her favourite pieces and sharing how she wears them from morning to night.

The past year has taught me a lot about female friendship. Indicating “female” feels like somantics, but it’s important to know that it is crucially *the girls*. It’s a phrasing that has become synonymous, to me, with solace — with comfort. They allow me permission to wrinkle with wear (gracefully, or not) and an unwavering understanding that the crinkly bits are part of the charm.

Comfort, in the physical sense, has always been a guiding principle in my sartorial decisions, too. @unikspace was created to be comfortable (and comforting), foundational, long-lasting. To soften with age and get better with time. Founded from female friendship, they have found a narrative mirror.

To celebrate UNIKSPACE's 6th birthday, we had the pleasure of sitting down with Courtney to ask her a few questions.

What do you value the most about female friendships?

Acceptance, trust, empowerment, and belly laughs.

Why is the power of comfort dressing important to you?

I let instincts dictate how I want to dress from day to day, but I know I’m most confident when I’m comfortable.

What is your favourite UNIK piece and why?

The Cooper Shorts for dressing up or down (I need them in every colour). The Kidd Linen Boilersuit to throw on any time and eliminate all choice paralysis. They simply make me feel good when I’m wearing them.
