UNIK at home : Berry & Chia Jam

Berry & Chia Jam
.

We got this recipe from one of our favourite cookbooks, Green Kitchen Travels and after making it once, it's now part of our weekly routine. It's so easy and quick to make and is only sweetened with maple syrup or honey, so it's a healthy alternative to store-bought jam's, and it's super delicious! We always use organic frozen berries for an extra boost of goodness, but it works with any berries of your choice.

.
1 cup Frozen berries ( thawed )
1 tbsp Chia seeds
1 tsp Maple syrup or clear honey
.
Mash the thawed berries with a fork or potato masher. Stir in the chia seeds and maple syrup or honey. Whisk with a fork to combine and set aside for 10 minutes, stirring every now and then to prevent the chia seeds from sticking together. Put in a glass jar and store in the fridge. Recipe says up to 5 days, but we usually have it for about a week or so, and it's totally fine.
Recipe can easily be doubled for a bigger batch.
