Can you tell us a little bit about your background, where you’re from, where you grew up and where you live now?

I grew up in a small town on the Central Coast which is where I live now with my little family, we live on a beautiful property looking over the Valley just a short drive out from Avoca Beach.

You have recently relocated out of Sydney. Are you enjoying the move out of a major city and how would you say it’s changed your life?

Absolutely, I lived in Manly, Sydney for a few years, which is where I met my fiancé Tom. We recently made the move back to the Central Coast about a year ago.

It’s made a huge difference to our lifestyle, being able to slow down and enjoy a more simple way of living. Being closer distance to my family & friends and our small community has been really special.

You are absolutely glowing, can your share your daily self-care routine and has it changed during your pregnancy?

Thank you! My daily self-care routine has always been really simple, even before pregnancy. At the moment, I am loving Lesse ritual serum with balancing turmeric & sea minerals which I apply morning and night! Along with Weleda skin food to keep my skin hydrated.

What do you love the most about being a mother?

My favourite thing about motherhood is being able to love like never before, unconditionally and watching my babies grow into kind little humans.

Can you share with us the best advice on motherhood you have ever received?

“Just be the best version of yourself & they will learn from that “

How would you like Otis and your future children to describe you?

I’d love for my children to describe me as being present, adventurous, gentle and loving. Always giving them creative freedom to explore their individuality.

You and your partner, Tom, are both artists, how do you find the time to be creative with a toddler and another one on the way?

Yes, Tom is a very talented jeweller at The Fifth Lane. It’s definitely been a struggle finding the right balance with a toddler and our creative work. However, we are lucky to have a shared studio space at home which makes it easier to be a great team and bounce off each other’s creative energy. We've learnt to communicate and prioritise who is the busiest.

You have an exciting new project on the horizon, could you share with us what it is?

Yes we do! We're launching a creative space called Studio Lane, where my partner Tom will have his studio for The Fifth Lane, combined with a beautiful coffee bar and wine cellar to come.

We will be hosting events and hiring out the space. Building is currently under way, and we can't wait to bring it all to life, aiming to launch in August 2021.

Which ones are your favourite UNIK pieces?

All time favourite piece is the Kaspara billowed sleeve dress which I think I have in every colour! So great to throw on for any occasion, throughout pregnancy & after! Also love the Byron Oversized shirt & Oscar oversized shirt which are both so comfortable to wear. Every piece is so beautifully designed and made!
